4 Things to Say Yes to Right Now - Structure is Key!

One of the biggest lessons I learned in January is to expect the unexpected and control what we can control individually. As a small business owner, it is often hard to prepare for setbacks or curveballs, but it’s good practice to stay ready to react.

Being the CEO of my life means being in control of what I can control.

Your business is something that you have total control over. Your brand image. What people see when they visit your website. Your sales pitch and the solutions that you create. How you share your expertise or offer your gift. Your Message. What does your business say to the world?

When you think about it. Everything is totally in your control. How much time you dedicate to growing your business. The effort you put into building your social media presence. And the belief you have in yourself to successfully run your business.

So if you're like me, you may have had to readjust, rebrand, readjust again, and Rebrand one more time, to stay ahead. In my business, I've just combined both my design services and my coaching services to make a better impact and adjust to the challenges that many of my clients are dealing with.

Being OOC is scary. But Being ITC (In Total Control) is where we have to strive to be. What do you do in order to pivot and maintain control?

My goal is to coach and train aspiring entrepreneurs that are looking to understand how to run their business and not just make a quick buck. Having a business that runs successfully will ensure that your business will continue to flourish over the years and grow over time. I put together a framework that works for any entrepreneur who is looking to organize their thoughts and bring their vision to life step by step in order to see and reach the goals that they have in place for this year. Starting a business can be scary especially if you don't know where to start and how to begin. But you are in control of each step and it's totally up to you what your end result is based on the time and effort and energy you put into it. So if you are thinking about starting a business bringing your big idea to life and making a little money doing something that you love now is the time to do that big scary thing.

4 things to say yes to right now. Say yes to that big scary thing that really scares you. No more easy ways out.

Time to Get Uncomfortable. Say yes to doing it now I mean right now and put it into procrastination. When your mind makes excuses for why you can just do it later stop and do it now. Say yes to getting organized. Like for real. Stop half-assing it. Take time to create new habits and routines that will help you get rid of the bad ones. Say yes to yourself stop allowing people to decide your worth set the tone and raise the bar you are the CEO.

Do It Now NOT later. At some point, you’re going to have to accept that you are a master procrastinator. The only way to end this reign is to stop wearing the crown. Procrastination is killing your business and your freedom to evolve. It is those tough situations that push us out of our comfort zones and expose us to new opportunities. Doing that BIG Scary thing is challenging but the results on the other side of fear are always GROWTH.

Okay, I Said Yes! So no proposal here yet but I challenge you to use my acronym S.C. Y. N E. D., and learn to say yes not can't every day. Last year was super crazy as everyone knows. But in the midst of all the chaos, I still stayed focused and did a big scary thing. Writing my book and telling my story was frightening. It's hard to be vulnerable and do something that makes you uncomfortable, but it's part of the growth process. Once I pressed that finalized button and published my book, I was immediately filled with a sense of relief that I did it and it was going to be okay. Especially after all of the feedback and sales started to roll in. It feels good to do something scary and overcoming. So I encourage you to face that fear head-on and do it afraid. It will be uncomfortable but the results that you get from the growth of overcoming that fear are priceless and cannot be replaced. Do that big scary thing you've got this.

Having Structure is Key. Have you ever seen a house being built? It’s a pretty amazing process. I bet you’d be amazed if you saw the roof up before the foundation. In order to run your business, you have to have the structure in place first. Seeing the vision come to life is similar to a story is being told. It feels suspenseful to the reader, but the author knows the ending. This is why you have to start thinking BIGGER. This is why it is just as important to create your business blueprint first before jumping into the design.

One of the biggest lessons I've helped my clients learn is how to get organized and see the big picture before designing their brand. Just like that house being build there is a process. Blueprint. Foundation. Framework. Structure. Design

Here are a few steps to help you through this process.

  • Understand your purpose why you're starting your business.

  • Have a clear understanding of who your ideal client is and how you can help provide a solution to their problems.

  • Understanding the ins-and-outs of your product

  • Learn to clearly communicate what it is that you do

  • Gather social proof first and allow your gift to help others

  • Having a few testimonials and share their results s that it works.

This type of structure allows your business to speak for itself when you can't. For example on your website, in your collateral, and on your social media accounts. Work on building structure so that people will take your business and you seriously.

Take a look at this week's CEO of the week.

Meet Sheyla Paz - She is a serial entrepreneur who has had to learn to say YES not CAN’T every day. Sheyla is the Owner of Paz Communications, a production company and has several award-winning short films, and was recognized as a leading media personality in the Latino community in Tennessee with the award “Beacon of Light” in 2019. Now keep in mind, that is just one of her businesses. She is also the host of Entertainment Circle which is produced by Paz Communications. Her goal is to rise to the top as a leader in communications in a multicultural and multilingual market in the U.S. Sheyla is doing just that.

When I met Sheyla I could tell she was eager to learn and had the passion and dedication to get the job done. We recently worked together on developing her consulting business Peace of Mind Consulting. Sheyla is always thinking about ways to help others in her community and around the world. It has been my pleasure to help her do just that.

I could continue to list all of the things she has currently on her plate but I think this quote says it all.

"People always asked me how do I get so much done. My answer is that when you have a dream or an idea you can make it a reality. It’s just a matter of making a plan and taking daily steps to make it happen and always taking care of myself. I’m a priority on my to-do list." Sheyla Paz

Limiting beliefs about getting organized - it's too expensive!

I can't afford to start my business. I know starting a business may come with a price. But it's very important that you invest in Your Vision in your dreams just as much as you invest in your household and working for someone else. Your brand identity will rely on how much work you put into building your business.

Hiring a coach to help you check all of the boxes during the process is instrumental in your productivity and ability to successfully launch your business. We all need a little help in areas that we are not the expert. So hiring a coach or paying someone to do your design work will ensure that your business is putting its best face forward and not looking like you are trying to do everything yourself. It's no problem to be proud that you can do it on your own, but if you know that it could be done better you should invest in ensuring that it does.

This is why my focus is to provide affordable design packages with coaching that will allow my clients to understand how to run their business and what it takes to make it look good. Having the expertise of being a graphic designer a web designer and a business coach gives me the ability to combine both of those services and make a bigger impact on each of my projects.

If you are looking for Website Design and Brand development assistance. I'm your coach! I have a simple website Package with one on one strategy session mixed in! Let me know if you are ready to say YES to that BIG Scary thing and launch your business Cre8tivly! www.cre8tivevibes.com
