Exceptional Work Ethic
This may be a bit different if you are still working your full time job, however, it does require the same amount of due diligence. Learn to Listen
As your business grows the pace of your normal day to day responsibilities increases. It is imperative to pay close attention and learn to listen carefully. The ability to decipher what is quality feedback or productive conversation will be extremely imperative. Be prepared. Be confident but this is where you really need to buckle down and learn to listen. Some distractions are for your benefit and others are just simply noise. Always ask yourself, what is the intention of this conversation, meeting, or project and stick to it. If the answers don’t align with what you are looking to accomplish then you know it won’t be profitable.
Confident, Not Cocky
One of the most admirable traits of a good leader is being confidently humble. So talk about your business and smile while doing so! Be proud of your hard work and don’t be afraid to let your light shine while tooting your own horn every now and then. Just make sure to always make time to help lead others. No matter what you do when you are doing well and feeling good about yourself and your business, people will always have something to say. Learn to take each negative moment with stride and always, always rise high!
